Procrastination at its best

I lost this last week to the procrastination bug. You would think I'd accomplish so much more being at home but it doesn't usually work out that way yet.

On Monday we delivered our load from Colorado into London,ON. From there we went back to the yard empty. It was 41°C with the Humidex which ment that it was too hot for the dogs to be in the pickup while we went out for lunch. With Molly not feeling well and her being heat, she would have had to in the box or cab by herself and Axle in the opposite. We decided to go home and relax. That night we took Moo and monster to meet with her friend. They are spending 2 weeks at their friends place visiting. I must say it's been strange without them around and I miss them.

My goals for this last week were to walk at least 3 miles and make it to the library. I did not accomplish either goal. We were home until Saturday but the temperature stayed in the 40's all week. So all I did all week was veg out and watch TV while on the computer. My goals for this week is pretty much the same. 1) walk 3 miles, 2) drink at least 2L of water a day 3) if we are home make it to the library.

Yesterday we went to Guelph,ON to load auto parts to take to Marysville,MI. It should have been an easy load, deliver the auto parts and reload watermelons 2 miles down the road in the same town and bring that load back to Kitchener,ON. Well not with our luck. Our load in Guelph was suppose to be ready when we got there but of course out wasn't. We ended up waiting close to 2 hours before we were loaded. From there we had to go back to the yard to get our paperwork, then straight to Sarnia,ON. At customs we had to get x-rayed, which took over an hour. The delivery was about 15 miles away and we got there just after 5. They unloaded us and we made our way back the 2 to the pickup but they had already gone home for the day. So we stayed at the truckstop across the street. It was kinda nice though because we watched movies and the dude waiting beside us was actually waiting to delivery there in the morning, he cut up a watermelon and gave me 1/2. I ate it ask to myself.

So today our day started out in Marysville,MI. We got loaded with watermelons, delivered them into Kitchener, went back to the yard to drop off paperwork, got our new paperwork and headed for border. We went to Emporium,PA empty to get a load of auto parts to take to Guelph,ON. We are now making our way to deliver, we are about 3 hours away. From Guelph we should just be going back to the yard.

Well I think that's all for now. I'm going try to accomplish all my goals this week. Until next time . . .

Where does the time go?

I can't believe its been over a week since my last post. Of course this week has been a week of procrastination. I started this blog post 3 other times. I guess the forth time is the charm.

Monday we just done a small run over to New York then drove over 2
hours to the reload for them to tell us they had no loads going to Canada. Finally after 3 hours waiting they came up with a load for us. We delivered into Guelph,ON then brought the empty back to the yard. We switched trailers and headed for Centennial,CO.

We spent Tuesday night at the Iowa 80 truckstop in Walcott,IA. Its the worlds largest truckstop. They have a big truck show there next month called the Walcott Truckers Jamboree. We have yet to go but we'd like to check it out.

We got into Denver Thursday and delivered Friday morning. Where we delivered there was a Walmart right next door so I picked up a few things. We picked up a load of bricks in Castle Rock, CO and deliver them Monday morning in London,ON.

Ms. Molly isn't feeling well, but she seems to be doing a bit better today. I'm trying to stay positive and not stress out but it's extremely difficult with how we lost Annastasia. But the good news is that Molly still eats, drinks and pees.

The first two pics were taken at the truckstop in Walcott. The next two were taken when we were in Castle Rock. The pic of the gruesome sky I took about 5 mins before getting an alert for severe thunderstorms in the area. The next 2 are of Molly and Axle. He had the chair first but she didn't care, she sat on him for a few mins before curling up with him.
Well that's this blog post. Thanks for stopping by. Until next time...

A Fresh Start

It's been a long time in the making but I'm finally back on track. It's time to make a fresh start.

In February our dog Anastasia passed away in my arms after fighting for over a week to get better. It hit my husband and I really hard. Three weeks later we resqued an abandoned dog in Houston. I would have loved to have kept him but because he was a intact male Axle viewed him as a threat and after having him for a month Axle starting fighting with the little guy. So we took the new guy to the Humane Society where he has been adopted by a new family. I'm happy he has found a good home but I miss the little guy. I really got attached to him.

Randy and I had planned to get married in July but decided in May that we'd just elope instead. So on May 7th we did, we had a small ceremony with 3 witnesses and the grand baby. I figure maybe on our anniversary we can have a party to celebrate.

On June 1st I celebrated my 29th birthday. Randy got me another dog. We adopted her because she reminds us of Oxie and Annie. They figure she is 5 months old. She is fitting into our family nicely and we are seeing an improvement in Axle. The loss of his sister hit him hard too.

Another one of my gifts was getting the new Android phone for using in the States. Which is how I'm blogging right now. With being able to get all the apps again I'm wondering why I even switched to a Blackberry in Canada.

On a side note after seeing the pics we got done for our wedding I am disgusted with myself. Enough is enough already, I'm sick of how I look and feel. I'm 5 feet tall my body is not ment to carry around 200+ pounds. I have decided to get healthy and lose weight. I downloaded some apps to help me and I always have my good friend @sweetmarie83 to encourage me and keep me motivated.

Thanks for stopping by and getting somewhat caught up. I promise with the new phone and the blogger app I'll be blogging a lot more often. Bare with me while my touch screen typing improves as does my app blogging.
